Character of the village
Saint-Tropez rests on a paradox: a fishing village that became world famous, and that kept its narrow lanes, ochre facades and afternoon shutters. You cross from the port to the Place des Lices in a few minutes, and from the Place des Lices to the quiet of the Citadelle in a few more. Here neighbourhoods matter more than addresses: La Ponche with its houses pressed above the water, Les Salins and its large properties under the pines, Les Parcs de Saint-Tropez and their absolute discretion.
Schools and access
The village is reached by a single road, which explains a great deal about local life: you plan around it, you bypass it by sea in season, and you choose your neighbourhood with it in mind. Connections are by the regional airports and, in summer, by the boat shuttles that cross the gulf. Primary schooling is provided in the village, secondary schooling in the neighbouring villages of the gulf.
Art de vivre
The Tropezian year has its rhythm. The Place des Lices market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, the Bravades in May, the Giraglia yachts in June, Les Voiles in September when the light drops lower and finer. Out of season the village returns to itself: the terraces empty, residents find each other again, and you understand why some never leave.
Off-market
Saint-Tropez is where the off-market side of our work matters most. Properties in Les Parcs, along the route des Salins and on the slopes below the Citadelle often change hands without ever appearing on a portal.
