The agency

A village house, since 1967

Two generations on the same ground, at the same address. What that changes for you, in practice.

Two generations, one village

Tardieu Immobilier was founded in Saint-Tropez in 1967, when the village was still a fishing port the world had only just begun to look at. The agency has not changed its address, its territory, or its family.

What that means in practice: we have watched the same houses sell two and three times over. We know which lane is impassable in August, which plot will never be built on, which neighbourhood holds. None of that is on a portal. It is handed down, and it is the only real advantage an agency can offer in this market.

A network built here

It is usually assumed that carrying an international clientele takes a large group. Ours was woven here instead, one transaction at a time, over nearly sixty years: it now spans three generations of buyers. Our clients get a dual expertise from it: an intimate knowledge of the gulf, and access to that network.

We cover the twelve villages of the gulf, not just Saint-Tropez. Part of what we handle is done by word of mouth, at the owner's request. And we take on a mandate only when we are confident we can do it justice.

A global network, a local soul.

Tardieu Immobilier · Saint-Tropez, since 1967

From 1967 to today

  1. 1967

    The founding

It begins on the port of Saint-Tropez. René Tardieu sets up L'Agence du Port in his brother's premises, hard against the port pharmacy, and moves each summer to wherever the rent allows. Behind him already: journalism at Nice-Matin, L'Esquinade, La Voile Rouge, Le Fait-Tout, the Hôtel des Lices.

  2. The house takes its name

Building draws him, the village under its bell tower is changing fast, and he turns professional. He buys as offices what is today the synagogue, and his son Patrick gives the firm the name it still carries: Tardieu Immobilier.

  3. The network, then abroad

Odette Scagliola, André Thérond, Alex Samama, François Gilis, Lucien Soules, Michel Bizet: with them the Tropezian clientele widens well beyond the gulf. Abroad follows: trading galleries in the United States and the Dominican Republic, a residential building in Côte d'Ivoire.

  4. The second generation

Antony and Patrick Tardieu follow their father. The agency evolves without ever losing what it is: forging lasting bonds, and reading a place and its history precisely, from valuation through to sale.

  5. The digital turn

Antony sets the agency's digitalisation in motion and his father backs it. Taking the turns of its time, without disowning itself, is what lets the house adapt.

  6. 2019

    The magazine editions

The house has handed out its magazine across Saint-Tropez each summer for over a decade. The eight editions from 2019 to 2026, of 82 to 102 pages, are gathered on this site.

  7. Today

The agency is on Traverse du Marbrier. Antony Tardieu leads it, the second generation on the same ground, and René still gives his view in what remain his offices. The off-market book holds more than three generations of international buyers.

  8. 2026

    The gulf, and beyond

A new site, the villages of the gulf documented with figures, and two branches in preparation: Dubai and Saint-Barthélemy.

What we do

01

Guiding a buyer

We start by pinning down what will genuinely suit you. Viewings arranged in person, buildability checked before the offer, and a straight opinion on what the property is worth.

02

Valuing and selling

A written, reasoned valuation, carried out on site. Four calculation methods, crossed against nearly sixty years of gulf data, and a figure we talk you through. Free, without obligation, and accompanied by what we would do in your position.

03

A discreet sale

An estate, a separation, a portfolio being rebalanced: a sale may need to stay discreet. The property is then presented in conversation, to a small number of buyers we already know.

Our commitments

Four promises you can check against this site itself, page by page.

  • Sourced figures

Every price per m² on this site is computed from the DGFiP's deeds of sale, dated and sourced. Where the sample is too small, we publish no trend at all.

  • Properties genuinely available

Every property shown here is under mandate and available for sale.

  • One point of contact

The same member of the agency follows your file from beginning to end, in French or English.

  • Discretion by default

Your details are neither sold nor shared. An off-market enquiry leaves no public trace.
